Week #46: Hebrews 12:1

Week of November 15-21

"Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. " [Hebrews 12:1]

CHALLENGE:
"Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." [Hebrews 12:2]

NOTE: This is a classic verse worth recalling and holding close to our heart. Take time to look at and meditate on words like "hinders" and "entangles" and "perfecter". Remember that every word is inspired by God to teach us and instruct us.

Drawing it out is such a great idea with a passage that's so visual!I never thought of it before as a help for memorizing scripture. "The course marked out for us" makes me think of God personally marking out the way we need to go-that he has a special course and direction marked out for each one of us.

I think alot of my weeks got entangled...honestly! That's a great visual verse. Many descriptives will make this one really stand out to me and easier to memorize.
