But the LORD said to Samuel, "Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart." [1 Samuel 16:7]

James McDonald has been teaching on David and Goliath and he referenced this verse. It particularly stuck with me as He is preparing me (possibly) to deal with a giant in my own life. Spending this week on this verse is going to encourage me every day!

Good one! Such is my sinful nature to get hung up on my outsides and everyone elses outsides. Loved what Denver said yesterday about you never know whose eyes God is seeing you through. Hmmm.
Such an important verse to focus on and be able to repeat to myself. God really impressed on my heart that this is SO important for my children to understand. Hoping to help them this week process what this means in their life.
